Eggs & Ham in Rotterdam is a collection of 22 short stories written and illustrated in 2006, during the authors’ academic exchange period in Holland.

First published in the Willem de Kooning Academie graduation catalogue Krooning under the title ‘Stories the river Maas told us’, this series of daft stories and interpretations of Dutch life was adapted to a book format for Plana Press, with new illustrations, cover and layout.  The work process that led to the final publication is a happy crossing between handwriting, drawing and open-source graphics/layout software.

The book, released under a Creative Commons BY-SA licence, is complemented by its sister website containing the full, downloadable digital version of the book and all the drawings, as well as a process log describing how the book came to be.
